About
“Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more, so that we may fear less.” – Marie Curie
RiskMonkey is a new project to bring together some new content to assist IT Auditors and Information Security professionals, and to support those in related roles such as general auditors and finance audits who need to understand how to mitigate IT risks.
There are plenty of web sites pulling together fantastic technical content. There might be some techncial content here, but ithis isn’t a technical IT site. it will not help you adminster a server. it might help you identify the risks of doing so, understand why that’s important, and do something about it.
The aim of this site is to explain it in language that is easy to understand and easy to read – this is not about producing academic reseach. It’s about things you can apply day to day, whether you’re an expert or not.
What makes me qualified to start this? Only that no-one else seems to be doing it. What makes it worth reading? Maybe it isn’t – if it is, please let me know. If not, I’ll know soon enough!
It’s worth mentioning that this site is unfunded. If you think it’s helpful, why not advertise on it and benefit by giving something back?
